Leopardstripe walked out of camp he didn't really pay attention to if someone had seen him leave camp or if anyone else was in the territory. He had wanted to get away from camp for a while to think some about his past even if the past hurt. Even though thinking about the past hurt he always found himself thinking about his past. It was like he couldn't help himself and he just keep seeing his brother fall to the ground dead as his claws tore through his throat. 'He deserved he killed our own father and was plotting to take over the clan,' he thought closing his eyes. He barely remembered his mother who had died when he was three moons old of green cough but he knew that she would never have wanted her sons to turn out this way. He knew that his parents were probably disappointed in him for killing his brother even though his brother had brought it onto himself. 'I'm sorry to have let you down, mother, father, maybe some day I can make you proud of me,' he thought coming to a stop near a cluster of pine trees and sat down.
He was use to his clan mates giving him accusing or suspicious looks like they thought he would turn out to be just like his father. 'Did I do the right thing in coming back?' he asked himself letting his head rest on his paws. He wasn't sure if he had made the right decision in returning to Duskclan but this was the place he felt the most happiness. He glared out at the the distance mountains and wondered if anyone did actually live their. He had heard cats saying that they had caught the scent of a few cats at the foot of the mountain but that was moons ago. With a shake of his head he let out a sigh and rolled over onto his back. He knew that he should probably be hunting but unlike usual he couldn't bring himself to hunt which was so unlike him. He was usually eager to hunt and spent most of his time wishing that he was a better hunter then he was a fighter. He didn't really like fighting but he wasn't afraid to fight and if it meant defending his clan he would die for his clan if he had to.
A sudden noise made him whip his head around and he sprung to his paws bristling unable to tell who is was since the wind was blowing away from him instead of towards him. "Who's there?" he called out a growl edging his mew his eyes narrowing. He already had his usual sarcastic smirk plastered on his face in case it was one of his clan mates. He was usually snarky and sarcastic around everyone he met but he tried to be that way the most around his own clan mates. He figured if he didn't do that, that he would seem weak in the eyes of his clan mates which he didn't want. He waited for the cat to step up or call out a greeting something that would tell him if it was a clan mate or an enemy.

A medium-sized figure stepped out gracefully, calmly. "It‘s just me," The dark brown she cat replied, bowing her head. She padded up to him and sat down, though, kept a small distance to him. "Sorry if I surprised you," she meowed smoothly, choosing her words carefully. She didn't want to say the wrong words and make him mad. "I as just going to hunt around, but then, I saw you..." RoseStar blinked at him with her big, pale green eyes as she shifted, slightly.
RoseStar started to groom her long silky fur, then lifted her head slightly. "You always seem so...distant, quiet when you‘re in the clan." She admitted, quietly. "Sometimes I wonder if you are not happy here. I heard the others talk. It may be the truth, but, I believe in you. I'm sure there is a reason back in the story." A warm smile slowly sprawled across her features, like sunshine peeking out from the clouds on a stormy day. "I just want to know if you are happy in DuskClan...are you?" She flicked her long, fluffy tail at him lightly.

Leopardstripe was startled to see Rosestar he was expecting to see his sister or a another cat from his clan but not the leader. He dipped his head not really sure how he should feel around her he had never felt comfortable around the higher ranks. "Hello, Rosestar, not sure if there is much prey out at the moment," he meowed not really good at making small talk. He had never really been good at making small talk or really talking to his clan mates. He just really didn't know how to talk to his clan mates and he never really had anything to say. The only one who he really talked to was his sister who he sometimes thought knew him better then he knew himself. He realized that while he had been talking to her he had let his mind wonder and her asking a question brought him back. The question she asked him made him frown no one had ever asked if he was happy here before.
"I am happy here, but I can't feel proud of myself afterall what kind of warrior would kill his own brother. Family is suppose to look out for each other," he meowed looking away the tip of his tail twitching. 'If that's true than why did he kill my father and plot to take over the clan,' he asked himself. He figured the leader knew about his brother there wasn't to much of an age difference between them and if she hadn't heard the clan talking about them Starclan had probably told her. He didn't realize this but some cats would probably think killing his brother had been for the best that his brother deserved to die. After all his brother had been ready to betray the clan and had killed his own father while Leopardstripe had only killed his brother to put an end to his evil ways. "I suppose everyone thinks I'm going to turn out like my brother," he meowed his eyes narrowing he didn't like being compared to his brother.

She cocked her head, listening quietly. "You're not your brother," she stated, firmly. "You're not,and you never will be. I know there is a reason behind it. There is a reason...someone that no one knew, right?" RoseStar meowed quietly. "You do not seem like the kind of cat who kills his own brother, for fun. I Trust you, LeopardStripe." Her pale green eyes searched his, as she gently nudged him.
"Are you willing to tell me the reason behind the story?" She asked, tilting her head on one side. A cold breeze blew, causing RoseStar to shiver. She jerked her head aound and groomed her fur, rapidly, smoothed it down with her small, quick pink tongue. She quickly turned around and flushed, then gazed at LeopardStripe, hoping to know the reason. She hesitatef and adds, "I have a terrible past, too. Not as awful as yours, but bad enough for me to hope I never think about it ever, again. But, I know how it feeld to lose someone I care." She revealed a slight smile

Leopardstripe gazed at her debating rather or not he should tell her and let out a sigh knowing holding it in wasn't helping him. "Me and my siblings were born into the clan and everything was going well until my mother died of greencough when I was three moons old. After that my brother started acting strange me and my sister were confused at first but we figured he just missed our mother. We all did but our brother became cold and distant and he always seemed like he was hiding something. Only being a kit I dismissed it as my own imagination. Then we became warriors I though everything would go back to normal but my brother seem farther away from us then he had as a kit. When I was eleven moons old my father showed up dead all signs showed that my brother had done it and the fact he had run off didn't help him look any less suspicious," he meowed pausing for a minute.
"I waited for a moon to pass to recieve more warrior name before leaving everything I knew to track him down. Finally two moons later I found my brother and confronted him knowing I knew his secret he attacked me, we fought for the longest time until I killed him. My brother had told me before he died that he had plotted to take over the clan because he thought the leader was weak, he told me that our father had found out about his plans and had confronted him. When our father had confronted him he killed him and then ran off after he realized wha he had done," he meowed looking away.

As she listened, her ears flattening at every word. Her pale green eyes widen, widen in shock and pain for the tom and his past. As he finished, she shifted slightly and touched her nose at his ear in a gentle, comforting way. "I'm so sorry," she breathed. "My past...it is nothing compared to yours. Yours is more awful, more....haunting. I can‘t believe I thought mine was awful." She let out a small laugh.
The dark brown leader hesitated, then started quietly, "I was born in DuskClan. I had a normal life as a kit. I was a medicine cat apprentice at first, but I gave up the rank quickly. I received my warrior name, RoseCloud...." Her pale green eyes looked distant as she trailed off. "My sister, BluePaw, died of greencough before she received her warrior name." She let out a long, quiet sigh. She shook her head and continued, "I worked hard and was appoibted deputy, but my parents also died from greencough, too." She flicked her ears, "But this is nothing compared to your situation."

Leopardstripe gazed at Duskstar waiting for her to say something even if it was to tell him that he was evil or something along those lines. He was quite surprised to see the sympathy in her eyes and he looked away frowning. "I suppose it is sad and I'm sorry for you like me you have lost your family my sister is still alive," he told her the tip of his tail twitching. "I try not to think about the past because all it brings is pain," he meowed looking at her. "Because of you I can finally accept what happened for so long I wanted to tell myself that the whole thing was a dream," he meowed smiling grimly. "You said you originally came out here to hunt so how about we do a little hunting," he meowed blinking.

She smiled wryly, nodding. "Same, for me. I try my best to not hink of the pas.. ..but, it doesn't always work." She meowed, flattening her ears. "Are you close with your sister, though?" She cocked her head, her pale green eyes fixed on LeopardStripe. She flicked an ear in surprise, "Sure - I would love that. I need to hunt a bit." She responded, warmly.

"I guess you could say we're close she is really the only one I talk to, your the first cat besides her that I've talked to since returning," Leopardstripe meowed smiling. With a shake of his head he got to his paws and began to taste the air for prey. He caught the scent of a sparrow and dropped into a crouch. He pinpointed the bird and began to stalk towards it. Once close enough her pounced trapping the bird between his claws and killing it with a swift bite to the back of its neck. He raised his head the sparrow dangling from his jaws and glanced at Rosestar waiting for her to try and catch something. While he waited for her to catch something he buried his prey.

"Good catch," she purred, smiling. She dropped into a crouch, her green eyes fixed on a plump vole. She crept foward, then wiggled her haunches. She pounced, giving the prey a quick blow then sat up with the prey dangling in her jaws. "More prey for the clan!" She exclaimed, a loud purr rumblinh in the dark brown leader‘s throat.

Leopardstipe watched her intently as she crept up on a vole before pouncing and swiftly ending its life. "Your a pretty good hunter, I suppose we should try to stock up the fresh kill pile," he told her tasting the air once more for prey. He let out a sigh not being able to scent anything and wondered if they should move farther out into the territory. "Maybe we should move further out," he suggested blinking.

She parted her jaws to scent the air, and nodded with a slight frown. "We should," she agreed, brushing past him. She starts to race deeper in the territory, her paws going pat pat on the ground. She glanced behind and called, "Come on, LeopardStripe!"

Leopardstripe watched her closely as she scented the air wondering if she would catch any scents of prey when she hadn't. When she gave her agreement he knew that he had been right about all the prey hiding in this part of the territory. He was caught of guard when she started to run off deeper into the territory and took off after her. He hadn't run like this in awhile and it felt good to feel the wind rushing through his fur. He can to a halt tasting the air around him surprised when he caught the scent of a squirrel. Squirrels rarely came down from the tops of the pine trees and he knew it might take some team work to take down this squirrel. "I smell a squirrel but we might need to work as a team to catch it," he meowed quietly so as not to scare away the squirrel.

"Okay," she breathed softly in his ear. "I'll chase it to you." Her pale green eyes shifted to tge squirrel as she brushee pasr him. She slowly climbed the pine, her ears flattened. Keeping her tail still, she let out a small roar and clasped the tail with her pawd, then successfully threw it at the ground. The squirrel recovered after a few moments and ran to LeopardStripe, rapidly. "LeopardStripe, here‘s your chwnce!" RoseStar shouted.

Leopardstripe nodded in agreement and got in position dropping into a crouch his eyes fixed on his leader waiting for her to send the squirrel his way. Her heard Rosestar call out to him and he acted on instinct lunging forwards. He landed right on top of the squirrel and nipped the squirrels spine finishing it off and raised his head the squirrel dangling from his jaws. "Good job sending it straight towards me," he meowed his mew muffled by the squirrels fur. He hoped that they would be able to find more prey that would feed the clan through leafbare.
