Rosestar blinked warmly at the tom, "It wasn't only me, you finished the squirrel off perfectly." She replied, teasingly flicking her tail at him. She gave a quick stretch and pricked her ears. "We need more prey to feed the clan." She meowed resolutely, but she was sounding quite worried. "Harsh, harsh leaf-bare." She muttered, pinning her ears back in annoyance.

"At least is hasn't snowed yet but I'm sure we'll get more than enough snow soon enough," Leopardstripe meowed with a shake of his head. He buried the squirrel and looked around tasting the air for prey drawing in the scents around him. He could smell mice and voles and tried to separate the scents so that he could catch something. "I smell mice and voles around here, maybe they're out looking for food," he meowed keeping his voice low so that he didn't scare away any nearby prey. He glanced at Rosestar still trying to separate all the prey scents around him.

"Good scenting," she breathed, as she lowered herself into a crouch. "I think....it‘s a nest of mice." She whispered excitedlu. "Over there, I think." She crept to a bundle of ferns nd motioned with her tail at Leopardstripe. She began to flip open the fern and then ripped them away. Small young mice started to squeak and rjn, but Rosestar let out a hisd and send some at Leopardstripe‘s way. She rapidly give one a blow and shifted quicklh on her front paws, kicking two to the tree to stun them, before starting to swipe at another mouse.

Leopardstripe was pleased by her praised he was glad that he was able to please her which was weird because he had never cared what others thought. He watched her amazed by her stealth apparently the mice were being dumb today to be able to be caught off guard. Narrowing his eyes he dropped into a crouch keeping his eyes on some mice that had run his way. He easily caught to of the mice since they were together and was hunting his third mouse when he slipped on some slippery leaves. He crashed down on his side scaring away the mouse he had been hunting. He jumped to his paws shaking out his fur irritated that he had fallen when he had been stalking the prey. He went back over to the mice and buried them so that the scent wanted attract unwanted predators.

Rosestar gave a quick stretch, and then gave a slight, playful bump at Leopardstripe. "It's been a long day. It's been good hunting with you - we should do this again soon." The brown leader suggested cheerfully, as she began to unbury the prey. "The warriors back in camp will be hungry. We definitely should bring this back camp, or we'll find some complaining, hungry cats soon." Rosestar rolled her eyes good naturally. She glances at Leopardstripe way, a small purr beginning to rumble in her throat. "By the way, those were good catches. The mice, I mean. We're lucky to have so many young mice to catch."
